CREST
Cut ten strands of yellow yarn approximately 12 cm long. Cut four strands of grey yarn approximately 12 cm long.
Use the 2.25 mm hook to attach the yellow yarn using a latch hook method.
Continue attaching the strands of yarn with the grey strands in the back.
Use a pet brush to brush out the strands of yarn to get a fur-like texture. The more you brush, the softer it gets.
I encourage you to experiment with colours and shapes of the crest! To get the curly crest on the blue and white birb, I crocheted a circle with white yarn and left it for a day. When you unravel the yarn, it’s all curly and you can cut it into strands and attach them to the head for a fresh perm look.
